- Depends on what you mean. There has to be a telnet server on the mainframe side.
- Either on the mainframe itself or on some sort of front end box. As far as who
- does the 3270 keyboard and screen handling, that is the local tn3270 program. If
- you look at the packets on the wire, you will see that they contain EBCDIC
- characters.

- The mainframe really thinks it is talking to a 3270 tube so there is no additional
- software needed for emulation on the mainframe.
