  12. TN3270 is a 3270 emulation over TELNET.  You have to have some TCP/IP route
  13. into the mainframe such as IBM's TCP/IP with a 3172 or a McData or Open
  14. Connect SNA to TCP/IP gateway.

  16. The 3270 emulation is performed on the client.  That is, on the device on
  17. which you are executing TN3270.  You send and receive full screens from the
  18. mainframe.
