- Depends on what you want to do with the DOS box once it is on the net. But the
- basic idea is as follows: buy a LocalTalk card for the PC, install it, then
- buy Farallon's PhoneNet Talk (which is the AppleTalk protocol stack for DOS).
- Install it on the PC. This would allow you to log into AppleShare file servers
- from the PC and to print to AppleTalk-compliant printers on the net (like
- LaserWriters). The full AppleTalk stack takes ~190K, so I hope you have a 386
- with memory management (file services takes about 100K, I forget exactly).
