- I seem to have stumbled upon an elusive bug in AUFS. Basically what
- happens is that a directory "disappears" from the client end after the
- first session. Nothing visible has changed on the server side. The
- directory remains disappeared from session to session until I change
- the file count on the server... if I either add or remove a file
- (sibling), the missing directory magically reappears on the next
- session for exactly one session... thereafter it disappears again.
-
- I have observed this on directories on the top level of a volume,
- and moving stuff around causes a different directory to display the
- same behavior.
-
- I've been spending all afternoon digging through tons of aufs debugging
- output with little success. The missing directory _does_ get located
- by OSEnumGet, but the only explanation I can think of is that somehow
- FPEnumerate doesn't return the right values. But the really strange
- thing is that adding or removing a sibling file/dir causes the directory
- to reappear on the next session, then only to disappear again on the
- following session.
-
- Anybody else seen this behavior? Any clues about where to dig?
