- I wouldn't under any circumstances recommend Miranda - it's
- expensive and 20 times slower than the public domain functional
- programming languages. It's only redeeming feature is a syntax
- which is aesthetically pleasing to the mathematically-inclined.

- LML is a pure functional language and has nothing to do with
- att.research.com - I believe the poster is confusing it with
- SML which is an impure strict functional language.

- You can get LML and Haskell by anonymous ftp from animal.chalmers.se
- The LML implementation has been under development for 5-10 years
- so it's efficient and very robust. The Haskell implementation
- is a different front-end to the same compiler.
