  13.   On a 6xxx system you can do it from the console (cntrl-P) if you are
  14. quick about it. I just did it last weekend, but remember your system will
  15. hang for the duration of the console command - after about 30 seconds VMS
  16. may not be able to recover. So do it when there isn't much going on and
  17. be quick. Make sure your cpu switch is in the update position.
  18.   Of course, the best method is to take the system down and take your time.
