- Gentlefolk,
-
- I am trying to use ISO 9660 CDs on an InfoServer 150 and a MicroVAX
- 3100-80. The InfoServer will happily find and mount ISO 9660 CD
- partitions, however it does not appear to broadcast their availability
- to the network. When I use:
-
- LADCP> SHOW SERV /ALL
-
- on the MicroVAX, the ISO 9660 partitions do not appear.
-
-
- Here are the hardware and software particulars:
-
- MicroVAX 3100-80 w/72MB
- VMS 5.5-1
- InfoServer Client software 2.1 (ESS021)
- VMS ISO 9660/High Sierra support (F11CD055)
-
- InfoServer 150 w/RZ23/RRD42/TZ85/TSZ05
- InfoServer Software Version 2.1
- Tape and Disk Functions
-
-
- I can work around the problem by creating a bogus service with the same
- name and an ODS_2 class on the InfoServer, binding it under LADCP on the
- VAX, and then using CD_MOUNT to mount it. However, this is sort of kludgy
- and defeats the purpose of having AUTOMOUNT enabled on the InfoServer.
-
- Has anyone else run into this? I've already done RTFM and RTFRN (Release
- Notes) and have not been able to find anything. If it's a known problem,
- is there a better workaround?
-
- Thanks in advance for any help! Please email me directly. If there is
- sufficient response/interest I will summarize it for the net.
-
- Regards,
-
- John
