  12. Siena College recently looked into upgrading our Vax 6210 to a Vax 6320.  We
  13. believed that this could be done for under $10,000.00.

  15. After checking several sources and then committing to the purchase of the
  16. boards, we were told by Dec that given our eduacational discount that to
  17. upgrade VMS it would cost us $17,000.00!!  This was something we were not
  18. expecting.  Our sales rep was out on two weeks leave while we were considering
  19. this purchase and the sales rep we were put in touch with was not familiar
  20. with CSLG licensing so he gave us wrong information.

  22. Dec is considering this a new machine, not an upgrade.  Has anyone ever had
  23. this same situation occur to them?  Was there anyway around it? Any suggestions?
