- After some work, I have converted the develop.doc file which accompanies
- the EMX distribution into a Texinfo document; that's right, one document
- which produces a nice TeX formatted manual AND .info files for use with
- Emacs.
-
- Now for the bad news: The C Library documentation is still sketchy (that
- part, while prettier to look at, was lifted whole-cloth from the
- develop.doc), the info files require the newest version of Makeinfo (Emacs
- cannot compile them internally; I followed the v2 documentation and some of
- the features are not yet supported) and you need a very current version of
- texinfo.tex (2.991 works and comes with the Makeinfo port for OS/2).
-
- The files are available for anon ftp from ftp.cs.unc.edu in the /pub/ladd
- directory:
-
- File Description
- emxdvi.zoo DVI version of printed manual, zoo 2.1
- emxinfo.zoo .info files for use with Emacs, zoo 2.1
- emxtexi.zoo The source Texinfo file, zoo 2.1
-
- If there are any problems, corrections, or additions you would like to
- volunteer, I am more than happy to accept them; my next goal in the
- documentation is a tutorial on PM programming with EMX and some interest
- has been expressed in filling in the gaps in the C Library documentation
- (and then there is the PM API docs :->), but the school year has begun
- again, so progress may be a little slow.
