  16. I a recent article on coprocessors for 80x86 systems I posted to 
  17. comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware I claimed that installing a math coprocessor
  18. does not speed up GUIs (MS-Windows, OS/2 Presentation Mgr, X-Windows),
  19. since these use only integer math internally. However, people have
  20. told me that some GUIs indeed use fp math for stuff like arc drawing
  21. and similar operations. Does anyone know for sure whether OS/2's GUI
  22. benefits by installing a coprocessor. Please send email, as I do not
  23. usually read this group. I'll post a summary of responses I get, if I
  24. get any. Thanx in advance!
