  11. I have now released my Telnet Enhancer version 1.0.  It is a program package
  12. that will enhance the Telnet daemon functionality in the OS/2 TCP/IP 
  13. package from IBM (and probably FTP's package as well).  The package is
  14. no replacement for the Telnet daemon, but rather an add on.  It will
  15. enhance the Telnet daemon in the following ways:

  17. *  Access to the MVDM (DOS-box) sessions in OS/2 2.0.
  18. *  Access to multiple OS/2 sessions in OS/2 1.x and OS/2 2.0.
  19. *  A more complete keyboard emulation, there most keystrokes are possible
  20.    to emulate.
  21. *  With certain applications it can speed up the operation.

  23. The software is released as shareware and uploaded to ftp-os2.nmsu.edu in
  24. the pub/downloads directory, file called tn_enh10.zip.  Note that there
  25. is an error in the documentation.  It says that the special functions and
  26. keyboard emulations are available by pressing first ESC and then a command
  27. key.  This was as a last minute change altered to KEYPAD ENTER - command
  28. key.  To bring up the task list, you press KEYPAD ENTER followed by TAB.

  30. This software is released very early, and has been only briefly beta tested.
  31. I decided on releasing the software now, because there clearly seemed to
  32. be great interest in it.  If there is enough continued interest, it will
  33. certainly be improved.  The most priorited feature is background/multiple
  34. access to the DOS-box...  If only IBM could release the necessary
  35. documentation...:-(
