- VDISK.SYS has been around for many years, at least as far back as DOS 3.0,
- maybe even further back. It is/was a standard DOS facility that
- comes from IBM or Microsoft, not a share-ware, public domain, or whatever
- program. Thus, its its historical roots seem to be as
- a DOS program. The version shipped with OS/2 may or may not have anything
- to do with the old DOS version, but it certainly looks and acts the same.
-
- However, the version shipped with OS/2 is in the OS/2 directory, so
- maybe it is an OS/2 driver rather than a DOS one????
