  11. I've had OS/2 up and running now for a little while on my Dell 433DE
  12. (EISA) machine with a 330Mb IDE and 16Mb of RAM.  I've been pretty
  13. impressed with it so far, but I'd like to bother the net with a couple
  14. of questions:

  16. 1) About these SVGA screen modes.  Yes, I've read the FAQ, but I'm
  17. still confused as to how I change the screen mode of my desktop.  I
  18. think this Dell has an Tseng 4000 local bus video card in it, so I
  19. know there are a few problems, but....  Could someone explain how I
  20. can change to 1024x768 on the desktop, and what 'seamless Windows'
  21. means?

  23. 2) If I try to run an OS/2 editor I have (SlickEdit) in full screen
  24. mode, the display is messed up in that the 'top' line of the screen
  25. starts in the middle of the display and it wraps around to the top.  I
  26. tried doing a 'mode' command first (mode co80,50), but it doesn't
  27. change it.  If I do a 'mode co132,25', it does fix it for that mode,
  28. but (a) it won't let me do co132,50 and (b) if I then try 'mode
  29. co80,50', it gets messed back up.  Any ideas?
