- I've had OS/2 up and running now for a little while on my Dell 433DE
- (EISA) machine with a 330Mb IDE and 16Mb of RAM. I've been pretty
- impressed with it so far, but I'd like to bother the net with a couple
- of questions:
-
- 1) About these SVGA screen modes. Yes, I've read the FAQ, but I'm
- still confused as to how I change the screen mode of my desktop. I
- think this Dell has an Tseng 4000 local bus video card in it, so I
- know there are a few problems, but.... Could someone explain how I
- can change to 1024x768 on the desktop, and what 'seamless Windows'
- means?
-
- 2) If I try to run an OS/2 editor I have (SlickEdit) in full screen
- mode, the display is messed up in that the 'top' line of the screen
- starts in the middle of the display and it wraps around to the top. I
- tried doing a 'mode' command first (mode co80,50), but it doesn't
- change it. If I do a 'mode co132,25', it does fix it for that mode,
- but (a) it won't let me do co132,50 and (b) if I then try 'mode
- co80,50', it gets messed back up. Any ideas?
