- I am still having the problem of Procomm Plus being dead in the water after
- returning from background "execution" (as in hanging by the neck until dead!).
- I have all the relevant DOS settings set properly (background_execution,
- com_hold, hw_timer, idle_seconds, idle_sensitivity, etc.). This is running
- in DOS full-screen, but I did not migrate the program to OS/2. It is running
- from a FAT partition (I have boot manager installed). It is only a 2400 baud
- USR modem in a 386-20 with 8 MB. Does nobody else have this problem? (Well,
- nobody else except my brother.) My brother has the same problem with his
- no-name modem running Procomm Plus from HPFS in a 386SX with 9 MB. This is
- Procomm Plus version 2.0. He has a 16550AN UART in his modem, I still have the
- original whatever UART (it is inaccessible). I am running via OS/2 right
- now, but if I switch it to the background, it dies. Also, when that happens,
- I have to hang up the line, *exit the application*, and then re-run it to
- establish a new connection. If I don't exit PCP, when I redial, it goes
- through all the handshaking, but never flashes that it is actually connected
- (although I have heard it connect). HELP!!!!
- ANY HELP IS SORELY NEEDED AND GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!
