  12. As expected, IBM today announced a reorganization of its personal
  13. computer division.

  15. At present I do not have details on the reorganization, but apparently
  16. IBM has spun off the Personal Systems Division (with distribution
  17. mechanisms) into an independent subsidiary called the IBM Personal
  18. Computer Company.  This new subsidiary will be introducing a new, low
  19. cost line of personal computers (in addition to maintaining a
  20. "premium" line of current and future PS/2 models).  This company also,
  21. I believe, will develop, sell, and promote OS/2.
