- You do of course realise that you are setting yourself up for OOOOOOHHH so many
- replies. I have been using OS/2 for 6 months now. Other than the first little
- adjustment that any change neccessitates, I have had absolutely NO problems.
- Before this I was using Win 3.1 and just wasn't able to run multiple DOS
- sessions without either crashing or (As you say) the speed of a snail going up
- hill. OS/2 may not be completely BUG free, but the promise of what it will do
- along with the usefullness of what it DOES do make it a far better choice for
- me. As for IBM being slow with releases, I would much rather have a release
- that is as stable as possible than a release that's just intended to squelch
- the static that is coming from people who have NO intention of using the
- product anyway. By the way, I'd like to see NT run at the speed that OS/2 does
- using the apps that I have. According to a friend who has seen the demon, it's
- SLOOOOOWWWWWWW. If you take out all of the de-bugging code, you may get a
- better performance, but at best it may compare with OS/2 2.0 with 16 bit
- kernel. (Just an opinion)
-
- Anyway, like I stated earlier, you set yourself up for that one.
