- Why? The loophole still exists. A secure system should be secure and
- Microsoft has also stated that it is developing a device driver
- intermediary that will allow some drivers to talk to the NT API to ease
- transition. In PC Week, corporate evaluators were quoted as saying that
- while the concept of a secure system as defined by the NT API was "a pain
- in the ass" it was also a recognizable and necessary inconvenience that
- they were willing to put up with for enhanced system security.

-
- That means that the disks will go to manufacturing. it does not mean that
- it will be in the retail channel. This is a scenario that should be
- familiar to an OS/2 user since IBM "went gold" on March 31 but retail
- product didn't show up in appreciable quantities until a month later.

-
- No argument from me, but what about users who don't wish to pay long
- distance charges? The fixes should be mailed automatically to all
- registered users, if only as a display of good faith.
