  21. Half true. It depends on the version of MS-DOS that you use, and how creative
  22. the OEM was that packaged your version of MS-DOS.

  24. I installed OS/2 2.0 upgrade on top of MS-DOS 5.0 OEM'ed through BEC
  25. Computer with no problems. Others on the net report that other versions of
  26. MS-DOS will not work (Hewlet-Packard sticks in my mind, but don't quote me).

  28. Of course PC-DOS works properly, because any cuteness that exists in it
  29. IBM knows how to handle.  If somebody else got cute, then IBM might not
  30. know about it.

  32. Of course others have posted the work-around for this silly marketing
  33. ploy that sometimes fails and gives legitimate users a headache. :-)
