- No, everyone with a nearly full disk will get this message.
- The swappath
- statement in you config.sys contains values for a minimum
- swap file size, and
- a minimum amount of space to leave on the drive - my system
- sets this to 2 Meg
- - this would give you 3 Meg if yours is the same - opening a
- few applications
- would see this 3 Meg get swallowed up by the swap file quite
- quickly.
-
- You have several options:
-
- * Alter your swappath statement to give you an extra meg or
- so.
- * Fit an extra drive (not easy with the model 70)
- * Start deleting files (and run chkdsk as well) !
-
- Ultimately you're going to have to go for the second one of
- these, but the
- last will bring most benefits - I had OS/2, DOS 5, Windows
- 3.1, NDW 2, Winword
- 2, Excel 3 and others on a 60 Meg drive, so don't give up yet
- ! Do you also
- suffer from extremely slow printing of ATM fonts ? - This
- will improve too
- with more disk space available.
