  10. I downloaded HPLJW.ZIP from FTP-OS2.NMSU.EDU in hopes of getting better
  11. WIN-OS2 support for my HP LaserJet IIIP with the lower cassette tray. I
  12. installed the updated driver as instructed in the READ.ME (i.e. copied
  13. HPPCL.DRV, UNIDRV.DLL and UNIDRV.HLP) to the \OS2\MDOS\WINOS2\SYSTEM
  14. directory). However after ADDING the driver under a full-screen WIN-OS2
  15. session I don't find a selection for the HPIIIP. If I enter the CONFIGURE
  16. panel I'm told the driver is for a Laserjet III. If I OK and exit, then
  17. reenter the panel now says Laserjet II on the top bar. I am confused (spare
  18. me the thought now going through your head :-)

  20. One final bit of info: The driver I was using for WIN-OS2 was the HPPCL5A
  21. driver that came with OS/2 2.0 and was selected as HP Laserjet III. I also
  22. have drivers for the HP PaintJet and IBM ProPrinter X24 installed if it
  23. matters.

  27. Does the HPPCL.DRV (153120 bytes) support the HP IIIP?

  29. If yes, any suggestions on how to select this printer?
