- 30,000 copies a day is pretty good for an OS that is supposedly
- "dead" or "unsuccessful". I think it was the August 3rd issue
- of PC Week (or Infoworld) that said that certain companies are
- still using OS/2 1.3. They will upgrade to OS/2 2.01 when IBM
- releases the refresh/service pack/CSD. Then we will see still
- more copies of OS/2 being sold.
-
- (30,000 copies / day) * (day / 24 hr) = 1250 copies / hr
- (1250 copies / hr) * (hr / 60 min) = 20.83 copies / min
- (20.83 copies / min) * (min / 60 sec) ~= 1 copy / 3.47 sec
-
- By the time it take me to accelerate my car (Impala V8 305) to
- 55 mph, IBM has sold 2.5 copies of OS/2 2.0! Heh heh heh....
- (Maybe we can start a "copies sold while accelerating" thread ;)
-
- Hmm, I wonder if the OS/2 TV commercial helped to sell OS/2 2.0.
- Has anyone seen the OS/2 TV commercial yet? I've been looking,
- but have not seen it yet. Maybe someone can post a description
- of it?

- Thanks, Bert! I appreciate your work you have done to promote
- OS/2. Yay!!!
