- I've been running OS/2 2.0 pretty solidly for the last few months. Just last
- week I upgraded from a regular 16-bit SCSI controller to the bust mastering
- Adaptec 1542b. Now I ramdomly get Trap 00000e's or the screen just goes
- totally out of sync and OS/2 locks tight (no ctl-alt-del, or esc-alt, etc).
-
- My configuration which has been pretty solid until the Adaptec:
-
- 386/40, 8meg RAM, NEC 660meg SCSI, Diamond Speedstar Hicolor, AMI bios,
- PAS-16 sound card...
-
- The Adaptec ROM is dated v3.1 1988. Is this the last rev?? I'm using the
- latest aha154x.add from hobbes, the latest orchid svga drivers from hobbes,
- all the kernel, comm, vga, and floppy patches as well.
-
- I've left the Adaptec at its default settings and made sure I had no IRQ and
- DMA conflicts with the PAS-16. Adding the new card was a breeze, but OS/2
- doesn't seem quite as stable anymore. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
-
- Thanks,
- Tom
