- First things first. I've checked these all against the faq (a reasonably recent
- one), have not seen any of them discussed (although given the massive volume of
- this group i may a missed them), and have yet to bitch at IBM about them.
-
- I have a 8900b trident 1m board.
- I snagged all the damn trident patches i could find off of hobbes.
-
- switching back from os2 full screen mode corrupts my 800x600x256 desktop.
-
- I've seen similar complaints about dos full screen but i haven't seen the
- same problem
-
- using 8900bfix before exiting os2 fixes the screen, but os2 has to boot a
- dos session to run the damn thing since it was supposed to fix the dos full
- screen problem. argh.
-
- This is no big deal since i rarely use os2 fullscreen sessions (is there a
- pk/un/zip written for 2.0 that doesn't insist on running fullscreen?)
-
- next bitch..
-
- why do windowed sessions refuse to come up full size? There seems to be a
- preset limit on the actual window size (changing fonts changes num of chars,
- but not the default windows size). This is REALLY annoying since every time
- i want to run a shell i have to resize the damn thing by hand.
-
- On a related note, can we expect to see more font size options for windowed
- sessions? I understand these are included in the graphics drivers... i really
- need a tiny one that's not square (i.e. 8x8 hurts the eyes - not because its
- small but because its annoying since the letters are as high as they are wide)
-
- an 8x6 or 9x7 would be almost ideal.
-
- And finally (saving the worst for last)
-
- I have a logitech mouse on com port 2 and a modem on port 1.
-
- I am using boot manager to switch between dos 5.0 and os2 2.0
-
- booting os2 after just having been using the dos boot causes my mouse
- to no longer function, thus making me go through the digital gymnastics
- of shutting down os2 via keyboard (ctrl shift whatever esc ctrl \ shft f10
- AUUUUUUGH! finger cramp :-)
-
- Nothing brings my mouse back except power cycling.
-
- I've snagged all the comm/mouse patches i could find to no avail.
-
- incidentally, commga caused kermit to hang while trying a !rz.
- I even halted the whole system once, but i wasn't able to reproduce
- it so i didn't write down the error. I did deinstal commga though.
-
- hep me hep me i bin hipmotized!
