  12. Procomm Plus runs fine in a DOS full-screen - until I do something in the
  13. foreground.  When I return to PCP, I find that it has stopped exactly where
  14. it was when it went into the background.  This happens not only on downloads,
  15. but when it is just sitting there at the UNIX prompt on my school account.
  16. At that point, my only option is to close the application.  If I then redial
  17. without leaving Procomm, it dials fine and detects a carrier, but I never
  18. get the "connect" message - it just times out after the handshaking.  If I
  19. exit PCP and re-enter, all is well again.

  21. I'm running this on a 386-20 (not SX), a USR 2400 baud internal, and have
  22. 8 megs of RAM.  For DOS settings I have the following changes to the default
  23. settings:
  24.     COM_HOLD        ON
  25.     HW_TIMER        ON
  26.     IDLE_SECONDS        10 (have tried 60)
  27.     IDLE_SENSITIVITY    100
  28.  
  29. I do not have a buffered UART, but didn't figure that really played a role
  30. with such a slow modem.  Has anybody been successful with a 2400 baud modem
  31. and ProComm Plus (ver. 2.0) ?  Thanks in advance for any light on the subject!
