- Try using CHKDSK /F from an OS/2 floppy boot per the exact
- instructions in the OS/2 FAQ List. My apologies if you have already
- tried this approach -- please post a follow up.

- You could try the commga.zoo drivers that just came across
- comp.binaries.os2 and are now available via anonymous ftp from
- ftp-os2.nmsu.edu. These may help. Are you quite sure it is a
- 16550AFN? The original 16550 has a problem with its FIFO and is
- treated like a 16450 (no buffer), for instance.
