  13. Hi,
  14.     I am running OS2 version 2.0 on a 486 - 8 meg memory -
  15. Tseng Lab (1 meg card). 3 1/2 A drive and 5 1/4 B drive.  I used
  16. to have a western digital 85 meg drive formated as HPFS.  ChkDSK
  17. ran with no problems.  I needed more space and bought a 170
  18. meg connor drive and formated it with HPFS, drive C 45 meg (where
  19. all the system sits), drive d 16 meg used only for swap, and
  20. drive e for programs and data files.
  21.     The problem is with chkdsk - I had to do a check disk and
  22. it lasted 20 25 min on drive e, almost 10 min for d... get the
  23. picture.  I turned on my machine this morning and it took 10 min
  24. to start up - IT did a check disk on my swap drive for some reason.
  25.     I have installed the new kernal, fixes for the video card,
  26. and the dreaded black icon. I have also installed the new com fixes.
  27. Any ideas?
