- Hi,
- I am running OS2 version 2.0 on a 486 - 8 meg memory -
- Tseng Lab (1 meg card). 3 1/2 A drive and 5 1/4 B drive. I used
- to have a western digital 85 meg drive formated as HPFS. ChkDSK
- ran with no problems. I needed more space and bought a 170
- meg connor drive and formated it with HPFS, drive C 45 meg (where
- all the system sits), drive d 16 meg used only for swap, and
- drive e for programs and data files.
- The problem is with chkdsk - I had to do a check disk and
- it lasted 20 25 min on drive e, almost 10 min for d... get the
- picture. I turned on my machine this morning and it took 10 min
- to start up - IT did a check disk on my swap drive for some reason.
- I have installed the new kernal, fixes for the video card,
- and the dreaded black icon. I have also installed the new com fixes.
- Any ideas?
-
- Terry
