- I'm not sure if you're already doing this (because of your "I can set"
- comment), but in general, the default view for a drive object or the object
- within a drive or folder can be changed by opening up the Settings for
- that object, and then choosing the "Menu" tab. Click on "~Open" under
- the Available Menus section, and then choose the Settings button. Then set
- the Default action in the dialog box that will pop up.
-
- The problem with this is that it doesn't seem to be used as the default for
- lower levels, and I haven't played around enough to see if there's an easy
- way to set this all the way down. I'm pretty sure you can pick any directory
- within any of the drives windows and set the default and it will remember it
- for that directory/folder for the future, but I'm not sure how to easily do
- that for all directories/subdirectories if you always want to see the detail
- screen.
-
- Personally, what I normally do is just not double-click on an item if I know
- I want details, but just select the object (right MB by default) and then
- pick the appropriate view that I want from the Open menu. It takes a little
- bit longer than a double-click, but it's not bad and I can directly control
- the type of view I get.
-
- I don't think this really answers your question, but I hope it helps a little.
