- Hi,
-
- I have just replaced my ide drive with a SCSI drive using
- Adaptec 1452B. When I tried to reinstall OS/2 on the new drive, it
- had problem reading disk #9 till I pressed retry several times. Once
- it was installed, everything seemed to be fine except when I tried
- to read, copy from, format drive a: when I performed other tasks in the
- foreground. Error message would come up to inform me that there was
- a problem with the drive a: response. Now if I do copy from a: in the
- foreground, everything is fine. And the overall response under multitasking
- seems to me slower than when I had an IDE drive.
-
- Does anyone know if OS/2 2.0 has a problem with Adaptec 1452B
- with Seagate ST41200N SCSI hard drive, or the floppy controller on the
- Adaptec ? I have an ISA 486-50 with AMI bios. Everyting works fine
- like before except the problems I mentioned above.
