- Someone recently requested a cheap set of utilities which would allow
- for more "automatic" system performance optimization, particularly
- with DOS apps.
-
- Well, I picked up the latest issue of OS/2 Monthly, and, wouldn't you
- know it, such a beast exists. It is called Performance 2.0 for OS/2
- 2.0, and it is sold by Clear & Simple Inc., P.O. Box 130, W. Simsbury,
- CT, 06092. The price is a low $17.45 including shipping. They can be
- reached by telephone at 203-658-1204.
-
- The product is described as a 50-page booklet with 15+ software
- objects. These objects let you tune the system "with the click of a
- mouse," while the booklet "explains to all users the inside track to
- optimizing OS/2 2.0." "Clarity & Simplicity guaranteed!" they say.
-
- Note that this optimization suite is said to require 8 MB of hard disk
- space. Interesting.
