- vi, for example, seems to have major problems. I use 'resize'
- to get my termcap set right, but it seems to think the screen
- is one line bigger than kermit lets things write to.

- i.e. while just using the terminal plain, kermit allows scrolls
- to the very last line of the screen, but when using vi, it doesn't
- let vi write to the last line, which remains blank, except when
- things scroll into it. I'm not sure if i've characterized this
- correctly...
