- I've got an ATI Ultra in my gateway 486/33. It runs really well. I used
- the standard 8514/a driver that came with OS/2 as my video driver and
- all is well. I have to run all win-os2 apps full screen as a result
- though, because I chose to run win-os2 apps at a greater resolution than
- VGA; but, it still works well. The driver package at ftp-os2 has a readme
- file included which specifically says if you want OS/2 in 1024X768 mode,
- (which I did) to use the IBM driver because "it's faster than ours." There
- are two other drivers in the package: VGAX256 and 800X600X256, but
- those weren't hi-res enough for me :-)
-
- All, in all, a _very_ good card (I've had OS/2 running with a paradise
- VGA card on my machine at work and the ATI Ultra makes an incredible
- difference).
-
- Hope this helps.
