  11. I am using an Orchid Prodesigner II board at 1024x768 Non-Interlaced
  12. resolution with the latest Orchid 1024x768x16 drivers. Everything
  13. works fine (WIN-OS2, Full Screen DOS, PM) except it I switch to 
  14. a Full Screen OS/2 session I lose sync (my command prompt is rolling
  15. at 3 different lines on my screen).

  17. I have the latest VSVGA.SYS, VVGA.SYS files (I have tired 4 different
  18. dates of these files), I tired the modified BVHSVGA.DLL file for WD boards,
  19. and I tried the original kernal (I am running the "fixed" kernal).

  21. With the standard VGA IBM drivers I don't have this problem. With the
  22. Orchid drivers at 800x600 I don't have a problem. The problem is
  23. related to my SVGADATA.PMI file. If I run SVGA ON under DOS 5.0
  24. (so card is in normal, non-interlaced mode) I can run OS/2 in
  25. Non-Interlaced mode but I get my problem. If I run SVGA ON from a
  26. DOS Full Screen session I get a different SVGADATA.PMI file, one for
  27. Interlaced mode. And if I boot OS/2 using this SVGADATA.PMI file then
  28. I don't get the problem, but OS/2 is running Interlaced. On a 20" monitor
  29. it doesn't look too good that way.

  31. Possible ideas are that Orchid board is coming up in Interlaced mode, even
  32. though I have the switch set to Non-Interlaced, and under DOS it comes
  33. up Non-Interlaced. Orchid says the board reads the switch on power-up
  34. and it will read it regardless of the OS.

  36. Has anyone else seen this problem. The thing that makes this bad is
  37. OS/2 system messages come up with a loss of sync. If I could fix them
  38. at least then I would be ahead. I tried adding a /K MODE CO132,25 to the
  39. CMD.EXE in my CONFIG.SYS and that fixed the Full-Screen OS/2 sessions
  40. (since they run that COMMAND Shell, but System error messages are
  41. still with a loss of sync.
