  33. Actually, this will not solve the problem of having *IF* some other 
  34. program already has *.doc associated with it.  The first program 
  35. associated with a particular extension will become the default for 
  36. that extension.  To rectify the problem, eliminate all asscociations
  37. for all programs *EXCEPT* wordperfect.  Wordperfect then becomes the
  38. default for  *.doc.  You may then add the *.doc association back on to 
  39. the other programs and Wordperfect will remain the default.

  41. I know this method is a pain, especially if you have many associations
  42. for a particular extension, but I have found no easier way, (although
  43. that does not mean it doesn't exist :).  I do think this could be 
  44. added to make the WPS more user friendly.
