  13. Would someone please re-post the summary to the thread about
  14. a `kill app' for OS/2. I was (still am) new to OS/2 then and
  15. did not comment.

  17. Aside from OS/2 being `killer`, I would (if I had any say)
  18. go after Frame Maker as the `killer app.` It is a do-
  19. everything-under-the-sun type package akin to the current
  20. OS/2 2.0.

  22. But there should more. I just sat thru one of those Win 3.1
  23. seminars and kept thinking to myself why not for OS/2?

  25. The seminar featured Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  26. For a limited time (with a seminar form) you could purchase
  27. their office package that included Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  28. and Windows Mail. All MS products for Windows, naturally.

  30. I would suggest IBM work with Lotus to port their office
  31. package (Smart Suite) to OS/2. It includes AmiPro, 1-2-3, 
  32. Freelance Graphics and cc:Mail.  I'm not sure what they 
  33. offer against Project for Windows.  In any case Project is 
  34. offered separately.

  36. I understand IBM has in house software R&D. but this would 
  37. help them avoid the rap MS about withholding Windows
  38. development from competitors.

  40. Active 3rd party products would make my boss alot more 
  41. receptive to OS/2.
