- I had similar problems when I ran short of disk space; it seems that
- a race condition is created in which nothing gets done, not even the
- out of space warning, probably because the swapper file is too big and
- is filling the file system. I got rid of one 18Meg application, and
- ordered another hard disk!
- I am using the 'new' kernel, and have applied all other fixes that
- apply to my system: 486/33, 8meg RAM, FAT file system.
