- Now to be fair - let's make that an accurate analogy - there isn't a step
- mother here. IBM has no relation to Hercules other than that the Hercules
- card was made to fit into IBM's chasis. I don't see anything wrong with
- IBM's choice to only support their own products. It might not be the nicest
- not to have support for Hercules, but I wouldn't call it unfair. Why should
- IBM be responsible for supporting some other company?

- Actually, I'd like to turn this around and make it a strong point in IBM's
- favor. People have made posts wondering about IBM's long term support for
- OS/2 given the other stuff happening in the marketplace and what not. Take
- this as an example. Even at this point in time, IBM is making sure that
- they do a best effort to support standard system components that they put
- out (CGA/EGA) quite a while ago.

- Just goes to show that once IBM puts official support behind something,
- they're in it for the long haul.
