- I don't think it's silly. Not everyone knows IBM doesn't support the standard
- mono graphics Hercules card when almost every other software companies write
- their own Herc driver for their software. IBM expects Hercules to write it.
- Does IBM write VGA driver for other software, ie wordperfect, lotus, Windows,
- and bunch of others? Does these companies expect IBM to write drivers for them
- since it's IBM's hardware? Of course not. VGA is a standard so is Hercules.
- I don't think IBM wanted to support a standard from other vendors.
- I think you should check the facts out first.
