  14. This is the first time I have posted to this group so forgive me if I bring     up an old issue.

  16. When I run Word for Windows, Paintbrush, and occasionally MS-MAIL, my drive 
  17. light will come on and stay on.  When this occurs, I can move my
  18. mouse but I can't click on anything (I have the pointer icon and not the hour glass icon when this occurs.) and this will stay like this anywhere from 30sec.
  19. to 30min. and more. If and when it comes back from limbo, I get a variety 
  20. of error messages (PBRUSH casued a error in module unknown or in PBRUSH.exe, theother applications give similar messages.) I have run Disk tests and my 
  21. drive comes up clean and every other component in my PC is new.
