- A likely problem is that you're running nostandard video drivers on
- your system. Check to see what you've specified as the video type
- for Windows and call the vendor to get updated ones which are written
- for use with Windows 3.1.

- One common symptom is the "Incorrect system version" message whenever
- you attempt to run a non-Windows executable.

- A workaround might be to change the display type in Windows setup back
- to one which uses Microsoft-provided drivers (such as common VGA)
- until you can get new OEM drivers for Windows 3.1.
