  15. My oldest son wants me to setup his Casio Tone Bank
  16. with a Roland mpu401 (clone) board to work within 
  17. MS-Windows 3.1.  
  18.  
  19. The Microsoft Resources kit dosn't give me much of
  20. a clue.

  22. I have configured the following drivers:
  23.  
  24.    mpu401.drv
  25.    midimap.drv
  26.    timer.drv
  27.  
  28. I then attempted to play the canyon.mid file included
  29. with windows and get an error:

  31.   The MIDI device you selected is no currently on
  32.   your system.  Do you wish to continue?
  33.  
  34. The resource kit says that that error means that the
  35. driver is not installed.  
  36.  
  37. The MIDI Mapper gives the same error.
  38.  
  39. In the MIDI Mapper I see setups for different Synths.
  40. Roland, Soundblaster etc....  I seems that I may need
  41. a setup for the Casio Tone Bank.  The Casio puts out
  42. signals (I have observed) on channels 1 and 4.  I have
  43. no idea what channels it monitors for data and commands.

  45. Do I need a special setup for the Casio?  
  46.   If so where can I get one or how do I create one?
  47. Otherwise, any ideas where the problem lies?
