- I am posting this in case it turns out to helpful to someone else.
- My problem with the Ultrastor 12F controller was due to an out-of-date
- disk controller BIOS.
-
- We got a new 12F here at work, and I stole the ROMS from it to test in
- my controller (actually, my reason for doing this was to get the
- Ultrastor Windows 3.1 FastDisk 32-bit disk driver to work - no 32-bit
- access without a driver on the 12F if you have a disk >528 MB).
-
- In addition to giving me 32-bit disk access in Win 3.1, the I/O Error
- 0x00000069 that I was getting during the Windows NT install process
- went away, and now I'm up and running!
-
- Thanks to those who offered ideas.
