- Since you Microsoft people seem to be stuck on this solution, I'll re-phrase
- the question:
-
- When can I get the servers for my NT machine which will let me do what I want
- from my UNIX workstation?
-
- I would like:
-
- 1) FTP files to/from the NT machine, initiated by the UNIX machine.
-
- 2) List, edit, rename and delete files and directories.
-
- 3) Compile all types of applications.
-
- 4) Test and run character-based applications.
-
- 5) Lots of other things that I've forgotten :-)

- I think this is the problem that some of us are having. On the one hand,
- everyone is saying "it is trivial" but on the other hand no-one can actually
- be bothered to do it! I don't consider it trivial myself because I know very
- little about programming NT.
-
- Don't get me wrong. It's great to have all these MS people here to talk to.
- But there does seem to be a genuine need for the services we are talking about
- and this need is not being met at the moment,
-
- Tim.
