- All I really want is a remote character-based interface to NT. This would let
- me do a lot of things from an xterm on my workstation without having to move
- my chair over to my NT machine :-) The obvious uses are for compilations and
- file operations, but there are many others.
-
- As I said in my last message, this is intended to be a bridge for UN*X users
- as they migrate to NT.
-
- In case anyone is interested, I am working on a network-transparent
- multi-media system and I hope to be able to integrate NT machines and UN*X
- machines in the network (eventually!). I want to work on the software on my X
- workstation and then fire off a compilation on my NT machine. In fact I can
- do most of my testing with no more more than a simple character stream to NT,
-
- Tim.
