- I am running a DOS application which requests extended memory. It
- terminates promptly with an error message :
-
- "0 KB of extended memory is available, but 706K is required."
-
- I have been able to run other DOS/Windows 3.X applications on the
- machine without trouble.
-
- My machine config is:
- July Release of NT on MIPS ARC R4000PC
- 64Meg RAM. (so I am not out of ram).
-
- config.sys has:
-
- device=c:\winnt\system\himem.sys
-
-
- So am I missing something something trivial? Is the EMS support on
- NT similar to that of DOS shell in Windows 3.1 (x86 PC)?
-
- thanks in advance,
-
