  16.     If you are acquainted with QuickBasic, the syntax is very similar.
  17.     However, the displays themselves are designed much like one would do
  18.     in a draw program as objects.  Clicking on an object in design mode
  19.     resents you with a default set of events to hook your explicit
  20.     programming into.

  22.     It's hard to describe to you, but much easier to do than C++.
  23.     Probably the easiest way to program in Windows there is.  But the
  24.     resulting program can be much slower than a C++ program, nor does
  25.     VisualBasic in itself have the versitility of C++.  There are those
  26.     who use it as a front end generator to DLLs that do the real work,
  27.     but programmed in more powerful languages than VisualBasic itself.
