  11. I'm trying to get a Visual Basic application to talk to a DLL,
  12. with a conspicuous lack of success.
  13.  
  14. The original version of the DLL was written using Zortech C++,
  15. which I gather gets its start-up code wrong.  However, re-compiling
  16. it using Microsoft C7 doesn't seem to have solved the problem,
  17. and I'm beginning to suspect flawed understanding :-)

  19. The perplexing thing is that the application works fine when
  20. it's run from within the VB environment.  When I "Make .EXE",
  21. and run it, however, I get a dialogue box saying "Error in loading
  22. DLL."
  23.  
  24. I *know* it must be possible, as there are demonstration programs
  25. out there which run with their own DLLs.  If anyone's got any good
  26. ideas - preferably with source code they could let me have to see
  27. where I'm going wrong - I'd be grateful.
