- Whoops! I'm afraid I may have done something rather silly with Dropper
- version 0.3 - the new feature which sets the icon of a DOS program
- seems to be rather less robust that I thought. What I should have done,
- of course, is to make the default *NOT* to set the icon, and allowed
- users to switch the feature on if they wanted it. However, if you
- experience problems running DOS apps from Dropper, there is an easy fix;
- simply place the line:
-
- HorribleHack=0
-
- in the [General] section of dropper.ini
-
- Sorry for any trouble caused :-(
-
- By the way, if you *do* experience problems with this feature of
- Dropper, I'd be grateful if you could send me a message detailing
- the circumstances under which it occurs. It still works 100% fine
- on my machine at home, and I'm a little confused as to exactly what's
- going on.
-
- One other bug that's foxing me at the moment is that one person has
- reported that they can't drop files onto icons which arent associated
- with those files (i.e. they can only drop .txt files onto a notepad
- icon). I have been unable to duplicate this behaviour, and would be
- grateful if anyone else who encounters it could contact me.
-
- Thanks a lot,
