  14. I'm experiencing the following problem when I shell out of Windows to DOS:

  16. I can approximately 10-15 DOS commands and then the characters stop echoing
  17. to the terminal.  The system in fact still responds to the commands I'm
  18. typing, I just can't see what I'm typing.  Eventually, the system hangs,
  19. and I have to give the three-finger salute to abort.

  21. Any ideas what's causing this?  Am I actually running out of memory?
