  18. |time you park your drive heads is before turning off your computer.  Turning
  19. |it off from inside Windows is a Really Bad Idea, and exiting Windows accesses
  20. |the disk, unparking your heads.  Is there another reason you want your heads
  21. |parked (laptop sleep mode,etc.) and is it really necessary? (most new drives
  22. |autopark).

  24. Besides it isn't too necessary anymore. The large hard drives most
  25. of us Windows users own are a lot more resistant to head crash problems
  26. than the older drives were. Since they are voice coil drives, they also 
  27. park themselves whenever one powers down.
