  15. Is there a program for MS Windows similar to XRooms, or the window manager
  16. on HP Unix boxes (vuewm)?  I have seen Work Shift, but am looking for something
  17. more elegant and less cumbersom.

  19. In case you haven't heard of rooms, vuewm, or other virtual destop managers,
  20. basically, there is a small area with somewhere between 2-6 buttons (sometimes
  21. more) that are basically screens or "rooms."  It's the same principle as
  22. WorkShift, but instead of a big window on your screen that you use to move
  23. from room to room and such, you just hit the button, say at the bottom of your
  24. screen for a certain room.  XRooms lets you name the rooms, but in HP vuewm it's
  25. just rooms 1-6.  Vuewm is the nicest I've seen, allowing for different
  26. backgrounds and colors, etc for each room.

  28. I could care less about the fancy stuff from HPVue and just want a simple rooms
  29. program.  I have also tried programs like BigDesk, but don't like that either.
  30. Speed is also somewhat of an issue, because I am not as fortunate as most of
  31. you with 386's, I only have a measly 286-16.
